Questions
Can Vault This see my files?
No. Everything is encrypted on your phone before it's saved, with keys that never leave it. There's no account and no server holding your files, so there's nothing for us to see or hand over.
What if I forget my pattern?
Each vault gets 9 recovery words when you make it. Write them down and keep them safe: they open the vault on this phone or a new one. Nobody else can recover a vault for you, including us.
What happens if my phone is stolen?
The thief gets encrypted files they can't open without your pattern, and the keys are locked in the phone's secure hardware. With a backup and your recovery words, you get everything back on your new phone.
Is it really free?
Yes. Make as many vaults as you like with up to 50 items in each, with backups included. Pro adds unlimited items, the duress vault, disguises, sync and sharing.
Can someone tell I have hidden vaults?
No. The app keeps no list of vaults, and drawing a pattern that opens nothing looks exactly like making a new vault.
Does it work on iPhone?
Vault This is on Android now (Android 10 and later). The iPhone version is on its way.
